This year the TJSA hopes to have enough referees available to cover all competitive age groups without having to call on coaches to ref their games. As an incentive we are discussing payment for refs and assistant refs for each game. This is an opportunity for senior players to earn some extra money. We are discussing having refs for U10 age groups and up so there will be plenty of opportunities to develop the standard of refereeing.
Please remember that it is easy to criticise the standard of refereeing but we struggle as a sport to find and develop referees. Here’s your chance to step over the white line and do a better job!
