Due to insufficient registrations the referees’ course in Dimbulah on the 19th has been cancelled. For those interested there will be a course in Cairns on the 26th. Please contact Angelo Capaldi on 0400 741 886 for more info. It is very unlikely that the TJSA will attempt to organise a referees course on the Tablelands.

Football Queensland and the Dimbulah Football Club have arranged for the opportunity for you to undertake a level 4 referee course on Sunday 19 May. We need a minimum of six participants to register or else the course will be cancelled.

To undertake this training program you must be at least 13 years of age and have successfully passed the online Laws of the Game within the past two years. This training program is aimed at match officials officiating in junior and youth matches. The program consists of theory modules, practical sessions and practical mentoring in matches as a referee and assistant referee.
Upon completion of all components referees will be officially qualified as a Level 4 Referee. The qualification is valid for a period of up to 4 years.

Who should do this course? Anyone who wants to referee 11 v 11 football at a local level.  Every referee – even World Cup referees – start from here.
Accreditation is compulsory in accordance with FFA National Registration Regulations.

Cost for participants is $50 and participants need to register by clicking this link:   https://education-ffa.sportingpulse.com/event.asp?ID=20072

There is also a link to the laws of the game which is: https://www.playfootball.com.au/referee/laws-of-the-game. It is helpful to attempt the online laws of the game prior to the course as this will prepare you for the day and if you have any questions that arise you can ask the presenter.
